Florian Buchegger - Constellation

This is a small selection of projects—bread-and-butter work, joyful experiments I’ve initiated and collaborations - and some that simply needed to be done. I call this visual grid a ‚constellation‘ as some works shine brighter, some dimmer. Some have already vanished or remain unseen - yet the constellation continues to expand. This is my portfolio.

Trained as an industrial designer, I’ve been pondering products and their context— materiality, usability, value, heritage, life cycles, patina, breaking points, repairability, upcycling, proportions, inclusion, sustainability - and more. I am a musician aiming for musicality in imagery and design.

Over the years I’ve moved within a universe of design and architecture - structural, spatial, interior and exterior - using contemporary tools for image creation for unnumbered designs in all stages, capturing the unbuilt. The blurrier the idea, the more challenging it was. And the more freedom I had.

I’ve beed teaching light and shadow in three-dimensional computational context for over two decades.

We have been flooded with images over the last years and generative image creation has been laid to everyone’s hand recently. So I do not intend to knock you off your chair with some pixels, because you probably have seen more spectacular ones.

But this isn't about entertainment. This is the handmade, the over-the-shoulder view on many stories behind every work.

Dies ist eine kleine Auswahl meiner Projekte, an denen ich beteiligt war. Alltägliches, selbst initiierte Arbeiten, Experimente und Arbeiten, die einfach getan werden mussten. Die folgenden Bilder sehe ich als eine Art „Konstellation“. Manche heller, andere kaum sichtbar oder bereits verschwunden.

Als Industriedesigner bewege ich mich im Raum zwischen Design und Architektur und der Darstellung des Ungebauten - und als Musiker suche ich nach Musikalität in Bildern und Gestaltung.
